I’m getting ready for a workshop at the north rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s put on by the Salt Lake Art Center and led by my old friend Rodger Newbold. We stay at the Jacob Lake Inn and travel the north side of that big ditch to chase down photographs. Looks like this year will be a small crowd, which means lots of laughing, reminiscing and general goofing off. And a whale of a lot of photography. There’s so much to photograph in that area that we can sometimes go into sensory overload. That’s what scotch is for: calm us down.

I’ll post images as time goes on and as I get internet connectivity. But all that might be put aside in favor of the pleasure of munching on the Inn’s famous Chocolate Parfait cookies. We’ll see.
